what are the mother and father like? Are they nice dogs, can they be trusted around people, etc? That mix of breeds sounds pretty good for your exercise question, actually. But I would be curious about the parents. If I were you, I would try to go over and meet the parents, handle them, etc. And then once you get the puppy, start them in puppy preschool as soon as possible, which would be right after the second set of shots, I think. But I am not an expert, just a person who has had a lot of different dogs. I have had Great Dane purebreds, lab/shepherd mixes (one was incredible, the other was neurotic), doberman/shepherd mix; and currently have a border collie/pit bull mix and a purebred American Bulldog.
:I know results will vary ..so I want to be as General as I can. I have long since wanted a dog, my girlfriends coworker had puppies Mother: Lab/Great Dane Father: German Shepard Malamute mix. They sound like wonderful looking puppies, My concern is the tempermant. I have always been under the impression that a mixed dog is not going to be predictable. Is that a bad statement? I am not too sure so I thought I would bring the question to you experts. I would like an active dog but not one that I have to attach to a sled everyday to make sure it gets enough excersise. :-) Any and all information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
