:Not true. Preservatives must be listed on the label. The only protein sources that may contain preservatives are fish meals, and again, the preservatives will be listed.
Even if unlabeled preservatives are a problem only with fish meals and not with meat meals, this food does contain fish meal. In addition, some vitamin/mineral supplements may contain unlisted preservatives.
:Again not true. Dogs digest and metabolize starches quite easily, and provide a healthy energy source just like they do in our diets.
That would be relevant if I'd said dogs couldn't use carbs. I did not. I said they have no dietary requirement for carbohydrate.
I prefer not to feed my dogs indredients that they have no need for. Whether dogs do or don't utilize carbs is irrelevant to whether or not they *require* them.
::The other concern I have is the addition of dried beet pulp. This is not a food I like for dogs. It tends to produce an artificially hard stool, masking the actual state of the dog's stool, which is a valuable barometer of health.:
:
:Beet pulp is an excellent prebiotic source which is a very healthy fiber for the digestive system.
I said I didn't like it. I don't. I don't use it, dogs don't need it. What "fact" do you disagree with?
:You have be careful about what you read on the internet. There is a wealth of "information" that is either misleading or completely incorrect, most times in an effort to sell dubious products and services.
I don't sell a durn thing. And I'd caution that when you're out there being careful on the internet, watch out for straw men arguments.
