"If its not broke, don't fix it." Its true that if your dog is doing well on the kibble now being fed, don't change it. It would be a good idea to switch from puppy kibble to adult formula especially for large breeds. Some things to think about though is that skin allergies do happen and is largly due to diet. I am pet sitting my parents' Dobbie and she came to me with horrible skin allergies. The spent a fortune on meds, special shampoos. . .when I recommended changing her diet to a quality kibble, they said it would be too expensive!? When she came here, I put her on the same kibble I have been feeding my dogs for years, her skin cleared up within 3 months. Dog food companies appeal to humans. Does a dog really know the shape it is eating, or colors? Its also very confusing to know which kibble is best. Here are some informational web sites to help you understand kibble better.
