An occasional raw hide bone is fine, however, too many can possibly block intestins :( I recommend supplimenting with raw bones, which are inexpensive, healthy and keep teeth clean. I feed my dogs raw bones that I keep in the freezer, usually shank/joint bones you can get in the meat section of your grocery store. Another suggestion is make the initial investment in a Kong brand chew. Dogs usually don't like them at first, however, put peanut butter inside mixed with kibble, then freeze and give it to them, you can also put melted cheese inside freeze then give it to them and watch them go crazy over them! My dog has the same one he has had since he was a puppy which has been 4 1/2 years!

:First, I would like to say that I do not know much about diets and feed my babies basic dog food. I give them raw hide bones to help keep their teeth clean and it really helps to keep the build up off of the teeth and the breath odor down. I was wondering what kind of raw hides are the best and where on the net I can buy them in bulk (also, the lower the price the better). I went to the petsmart website but they were out of stock in the bones I wanted. Thanks!!
