Moe is a corgi/sheltie mix. He's orange and looks something like a giant pomeranian or a chow with no legs. He's my first dog and I couldn't ask for a sweeter, smarter buddy. Occasionally he comes with me to class (I'm a biology/pre-vet major) and is practically the university mascot. Everyone knows him.
Joplin is my 7 year old black greyhound. He's a former racer who was impounded for cruelty a year after his retirement. He is such a sweet, trusting, gentle dog. We have been regulars at the vet ever since I got him and he is almost always very well behaved even there (we won't go into the time he lifted his leg into a live electric outlet at the vets :) Our goal with Joplin is to get him trained and healthy long enough to title him in lure coursing. He has done a few runs and they were outstanding before he came up injured.
Madonna is the most recent addition. She came to the shelter at about 1/2 of what she should have weighed and nearly bald. She only had hair around her head. She is at least 10 years old, and is some sort of chow mix. My best guess is chow and border collie. She is the alpha dog of the pack and keeps the boys in line. Once she got her strength back, she is surprisingly agily and strong for her age.
