We have been having a very snowy winter here on the Chesapeake Bay (MD side) and my old girls (one 13 and one 1-1/2 months from being 13) have been having problems. Not with the powder snow that has been falling, but with the frozen crust, after the snow melts a bit and then refreezes. Natasha especially, with her webbed feet (lab), gets exhausted floundering around in it and has to rest a lot afterwards. Poor babies, there was a time when snow-time was massive play-time.

Anyone else's dogs having trouble with icy crust? Any ideas on how to help?
