Shar Pei Behaviour and Health

Hi,

I have a friend who has just bought a Shar Pei without knowing anything about the breed except that she just love the look of the dog/puppy. I'd like to have a basic idea of what the Shar Pei is like and also any medical conditions that are peculiar to this breed of dogs.
