Hi,
I have a 4.5 months old Shar-pei. He has been having the fever episodes since he was 9 weeks old. The highest temperature he had was 104. When he has fever his hind leg is swollen and he would not place any weight on his hind leg.
I live in Chicago and my vet is a well-known specializing in Shar-pei(Dr. Jeff Vidt).
He advised to give him aspirin every time he gets fever and he gave me a drug that I should give him one tablet every 12 hours for the rest of his life to prevent kidney failure.
