:I found out this evening that we had lost our 4 year old Sharpei.This was the first place I looked for a reason. Three Vets in one office were not able to diagnose her illness. The post by Kermit described excacly the same symptoms to the T that our dog was having. I would so appreciate anyone else that knows anything about this illness to share their information with us.
:Thank you so. Kobi was such a wonderful dog. More sadly, my wife buried her father today. He passed on Monday, Tuesday we took the dog to the vet before I took my wife to the airport to fly to Texas. The last time she saw her beloved Kobi

Oh Bill! I'm so sorry, this is very sad news. I am making a note and am going to so a bit of research to see if I can find you some info regarding these mysterious symptoms. Take care.
