:I have built a nice kennel out back in myfenced in yard for my new doggies coming shortly. I have nearly 5 grand tiedup in the dogges and kennel. Its a concrete pad with a 5ft fence , reenforced at the bottom with 2X6's and rebarb, so they cant go underand 1/2 covered, and a big igloo style dog house.Im going to use a 15 gallon galvanized container for water. What concearns me most, is how to protect my dogs from mosquitoes, fleas ticks, spiders etc. The fleas and ticks, im gonna use biospot for dogs. It says it also kills and repels mosquitoes, any one ever try this stuff? I am open to suggestions on how to keep them from being nibbled on. I live in southwest florida, next to a canal, so i see my share of the dasterdly critters. Besides surrounding the entire kennel, which is 15ftX15ft squared, with a screened in enclosure, which will run about another 2 grand, ive checked already. Thanks for any suggestions on anything ive said. I also am going to give them thier vaccinations, as the breeder i baught them from suggested. he saidgive it at 10 weeks. I got an 8 way adult shot, this iswhat he told me to do. The breed is a big one and hes been doing it for years, so i assume he knows what hes talking about.

Congreytulations on your new pups! I'd like to suggest that you post your question to our Outdoor Dog Forum. We don't have alot of folks that keep outside dogs, so I'm not sure what kind of reponse you will receive. You might also want to post on the board for your particular breed and maybe the Siberian Husky Forum as they have a couple of members that house their dogs outside.

Good luck!
Melody
