I wondered if anyone could help me with this.
I have a new 2 year old German Shepherd and he is a pure bred. He was given to my uncle from the original owner this past summer. She said she paid $1000 for him and had the papers for him but she would have to look for them. My uncle tried to call her several times and she got tired of looking for the papers. I guess maybe she figured he was free to him...he can live with out the papers..who knows.
I have had him looked at by a couple vet friends, breeders and even the local Trooper k9 unit. They all said he is an awesome dog and with papers could go far. I only got the dog a week ago and I would really like to get him involved in some shows maybe. This dogs temperment is ideal! He is just awesome and I think I am the luckiest person in the world right now..papers or no papers.
My question is...how would someone go about getting the papers for a dog like this. I have his orignal tags and the original owners name and number...so far she has not returned any of my calls. I do not have an AKC number or even know what kennel he was purchased from.
Is this hopeless?
Thanks for any imput here.
