::I agree with the advice to get training help, etc. I think it could be helpful to also point out here that with a baby on the way, your feelings about the dog may be affected by other priorities. Just something to think about. Women sometimes feel radically different about dogs at such times, and even more so after the baby comes.

:Yes, thinking back, I was a little annoyed with my cat when I was pregnant with my first. Not to this extent, but some. Mainly with the cat because when I don't sleep well she tends to try and come up on the bed and get attention. At least the dog is keeping that from happening, he has appointed himself guard of the bed.

:I just hope I feel a little better about him once I'm no longer pregnant and hormonal. :)

I totally sympathize! For about 4 of the last 6 months, my ears have been making me nuts, due to a series of closely-spaced respiratory infections plus the allergies I have all the time. It's a huge effort not to be irritable, especially when I'm standing up and feel nauseous, or when someone jostles me or talks too loudly or makes me repeat myself (when I speak loudly, it sounds like I'm yelling into my own ear, LOL!). Physical things on both the dog's part and the human part can have a huge influence on both the relationship and how the training goes. My dogs have also been adjusting to a "mommy" who has lost 133 pounds in just over a year. We like that change--they can snuggle closer!
