Thanks for the warm welcome! The four that I have here are two males and two females. The oldest of the group is my boy Mojo, he gets the run of the place and is my main house dog. Both of the females get along great with Mojo, but not with each other. I have to keep them seperated. They are fine when in their seperate runs, but things can get pretty ugly if they are out together. The younger female, Tempest, is linebred Vanguard lines with Joshua outcross and is very dominant.
The other male I have is a Mojo son, Chaos, and is 6 months old now. So far Mojo just tolerates him, but they can be out together. I am just making sure I am in total control of both at all times when they are. I have no problem at all with controlling Mojo, but Chaos is still young and dumb, so he is still learning LOL. But not as hard headed as the females.
The dogs stay outside in the kennel, with the exception of Mojo, except in extreme weather I do bring them inside. I am planning on moving soon, so hopefully I will get my indoor/outdoor kennel built.
Cheyenne sounds like a good girl! That's great that you are socializing her so much! Is she being real defensive around other dogs, or is it more of a dominant aggression?
Take care,
Jamie
:I hope that you enjoy it here. It is a small group right now, but we are growing all the time. I have one young AB, Cheyenne is going to be one year old this spring and is a sweet girl (especially to people), except that she tends to get a bit defensive/aggressive around new dogs. We are keeping her in classes to try to keep her socialized as much as possible.
:How do you keep your dogs from fighting? Are they inside dogs or do they live outside?
