:NO efficacy studies? This really gripes me! We can test eyeshadow on animals for OUR benefit, but we cannot do efficacy studies on a new vaccine that benefits the animals themselves?

The encouraging part to me is that my dog's vet wanted to see five years of safety study before using it -- there is hope for a vet that previously told me that there is no way that my dog's problems could be vaccine-induced ;-)

:Sometimes I really do think the entire drug and biologic research and approval processes in this country are so hopelessly screwed up and corrupt that we'll never get good, unbiased science except by accident.

I sadly agree :-(
