I'm not a vet. That means I'm in no place to tell other people what they should do for their pets. I'm not qualified. I will share what works for my pack. Also that what we do is constantly changing. What works now for my 7 year old is probably not what we will do when he is 12. There was recently an outbreak of distemper in a greyhound kennel. Those dogs had been vaccinated at some point in their lives, but not revaccinated. Many died and there is now a very sensible regulation that all dogs at the upcoming NGA auction must be vaccinated. Am I overvaccinated myself, yes I am... having spent 4 years in the Armed Services means that I am vaccinated multiple times against every nasty pathogen they have made a vaccine for. I am fine. No reactions and am healthy as a horse. Everyone's dogs and lifestyle is different. Saying that one particular vaccination protocol or lack thereof is appropriate for all is way off base. It boils down to an owner knowing what is best for THEIR animals.
