We'd like a small to medium dog, no bigger than 30 pounds. We don't have a yard. Because of that, we know he has to be pretty low energy. We'd like an intelligent, fairly obedient dog, but we probably aren't likely to go to obedience classes.
We'd be willing to get a rescue dog. I don't want a dog much older than 1 year old, because we'd like to influence his personality.
We really want a dog as a companion and family member. Someday we'll have kids, and its important that our dog likes and can adjust to kids. It's also important that our dog get along with other dogs, because if we ever go on vacation, he'll likely stay with my parents who have two dogs.
I'm really interested in what kind of dogs people in our situation (small home, jobs, etc) have, and how the dogs get along in those situations.
Thanks!
:What size are you looking for(med, small or Toy)? Do you have a yard? How obedient of a dog do you want? Are you willing to go to obedience classes? Would you be interested in a rescue dog (instead of a puppy which requires lots of work)?
:What are you looking for in a dog, a pet or active camping or jogging partner?
:When you clear your description, i should be able to help you!
