Maybe we ought to give that ancient sighthound breed a name...maybe a Grey Afghan Saluki Pharaoh Hound. Wait, that acronym would be GASP...wouldn't work for these guys. :-)

Yes, the dog pictured on tombs bears a resemblance to some sighthound and that breed probably has splintered off into other sighthound breeds over the years.
