my whole kitchen, which is where she was gated during the day when I worked. She went under the dishwasher and tore out all the electrical lines, chewed off all the wooden molding on the wall (we had lovely side-louvered half walls with a stick out molding that divided it from the bottom wall) tried to dig out through the tile floor. Then when the apartment maintenance came in to replace the tile floor, she was put into the bathroom,where she ate the bottom of the door and the nice shower curtain and crushed the doorknob. The maintenance workers let her out after that and she just lay in the corner of the kitchen and watched them work. She was also able to take out the middle of a glass on the coffee table with her tail so fast that the top dropped onto the bottom of the glass and didn't break! Just lost the whole middle of the glass. She was a character, and incredibly sweet. I don't think she liked being alone. I was able to stay home with the next Dane that we got as I was pregnant and never went back to an outside-the-home job. Strangely enough, she did not have the destructive tendencies that Cokie did.
